Alice’s Garden
A two-acre urban, community garden in Milwaukee, WI nurturing families and organizations to restore cultural/family traditions connected to land and food.

 

Cedar Grove Cheese
A family-owned cheese factory in Wisconsin dating back to 1878.  Owner and Master Cheesemaker Bob Wills has a reputation for incubating award-winning cheesemakers and implementing forward-thinking processes. The first cheese factory in the country to require all milk to be rBGH free. Cedar Grove in Plain, WI, is the home of the Living Machine, processing wastewater from the factory in a way which returns clean water to the land.

Clock Shadow Creamery
One of only a handful of urban cheese factories in the nation, Clock Shadow Creamery, located near downtown Milwaukee, is the production site for Martha’s Pimento Cheese. Owned by Bob Wills of Cedar Grove Cheese, the team of cheese makers at Clock Shadow are producing award-winning fresh products such as Wisconsin’s legendary cheese curds, quark and chèvre as well as the Aged Cheddar Cheese used to make MPC.

A cluster consortium created to support growth and awareness of the food and beverage industry across Wisconsin. Martha serves on the Leadership Council for FaB Wisconsin.

An on-demand bicycle delivery service in Milwaukee, WI, carrying good food from restaurants and businesses to eaters by bicycle. Owned and operated by Peter DiAntoni who is also the talented photographer for this website, and the publisher of TWO, a magazine for cycling devotees around the world.

 

Fondy Food Center
Connects good, fresh, affordable food from the farm to the fork for Greater Milwaukee by supporting small scale farmers and operating a large, vibrant farmer’s market on the city’s North Side.

A business alliance which advocates for locally-owned businesses. Mighty Fine Food LLC is a proud member.

 

Milwaukee Food Council
A coalition of diverse stakeholders committed to building a food system that is healthy, ecologically sustainable, economically vibrant, culturally relevant and socially just. The Council actively supports community-based research for the Institute of Urban Agriculture and Nutrition, the transformation of policy in Milwaukee regarding a just, sustainable food system, claiming the power of Collective Impact to make significant changes in society for the good of all. Martha founded the Milwaukee Food Council in 2007.

 

Milwaukee Public Museum
A premier natural history and science museum in downtown Milwaukee, beloved by all for its exhibits, collections, ongoing scientific research and educational events. Martha is serving as the Museum’s Community Curator for the upcoming Global Kitchen: Food, Nature, Culture exhibit scheduled for Spring 2017.

 

Milwaukee Water Commons
A unique cross-city network that fosters connection, collaboration and broad community leadership on behalf of our precious waters. MWC promotes good stewardship of, equitable access to and shared decision-making for our common waters.

 

Slow Food
Slow Food is an idea, a way of living, and a way of eating. Slow Food USA is a part of the global, grassroots food movement with thousands of members across the globe linking the pleasures of food with a commitment to community and the planet. Martha Davis Kipcak has been a member, chapter leader and a Regional Governor for Slow Food in the Upper Midwest.

 

Sweet Water Foundation
Sweet Water Foundation (SWF) is a unique non-profit in Milwaukee and Chicago engaging with a host of educational institutions in the development of holistic curriculum. Touching on subjects such as Math, Science, Engineering, Technology, Business, and Art among others, SWF seeks to create interdisciplinary programs that push students to become innovators, with the hope of inspiring them to pursue previously unimagined career paths or projects. Martha serves on the Sweet Water Foundation Board of Directors.

A female-owned communications firm dedicated to furthering the missions of non-profit organizations, and small businesses like Mighty Fine Food, through good design.

 

Victory Garden Initiative
A grassroots organization in Milwaukee, WI that teaches and promotes urban permaculture, builds gardens, organizes communities, grows urban food forests, and cultivates leadership.
